Meet Janice & Clive

Set besides the river in the village of Pentrefoelas between Snowdonia and Hiraethog in North Wales, The Riverside Chocolate House & Tearoom has been run by Janice and Clive Hague since July 2007. The business had originally been set up in 2000 by the well-known chocolatier, Roy Starkey-Nesling, from whom Janice received training in the art of chocolate making.

Since taking over the business Janice has extended her knowledge by attending the Slattery Chocolate School.

Janice is now resposible for hand-making the truffles and moulded chocolates, whilst Clive has specialised in the technique of dipping confectionery like Turkish Delight, Honeycomb, Fudge and Ginger in our own dark, milk and white chocolate.

The Hot Chocolate Drinks served in the Tearoom, use the same high quality couverture as we use to make chocolate. Our range includes Spicy, Ginger, Mint, Caramel, Coconut, Hazelnut and Vanilla as well as Gourmet Hot Chocolate and Hot Chocolate Heaven with whipped cream.
