ABOUT OUR TEA ROOM
Our drinks menu includes real authentic Hot Chocolate (not powdered or packets but made with real chocolate), Fine Italian Coffee, Tea, Soft Drinks and Milk Shakes.
For something savoury to eat, we have Dulcie's home-made soup (usually a choice of two), freshly made sandwiches, toasted sandwiches & baguettes (baked fresh every day) & jacket potatoes. To indulge your sweet tooth we have muffins, scones, toasted teacakes, home-made bara brith (a Welsh tea loaf) and a selection of puddings and desserts.
We also make our own ice-cream and usually have four flavours to choose from.
Opening times are normally 10.00am to 5.00pm Wednesday to Sunday (Closed Monday &Tuesday ) These are our winter opening times and will be updated soon.We also open on Bank Holiday Mondays and on Tuesdays during school holidays. Phone if you wish to confirm.
Outside to the front and side of the tea-room there are tables & chairs where we can serve you whilst you relax and enjoy the picturesque, pleasant and tranquil location.
At the side of The Chocolate House is a small footbridge over the river, which leads to a pleasant picnic spot and childrens play area. As long as you return the crockery, we are quite happy to serve you with food and drink to take over to the picnic site.
To the front of the building is a public car-park (free parking) and public toilets are just over the road.
The Riverside Chocolate House & Tea-room is situated just off the A5 Trunk Road in the village of Pentrefoelas. Look out for the brown tourist direction signs as you enter the village. We are about 6 miles south of Betws-y Coed and are conveniently situated for anyone travelling further afield on the A5 or just out for a run around the fabulous scenery of North Wales. We welcome enquiries from car-clubs, walking groups, cyclists and small coach parties etc. regarding pre-booking your requirements.
